“It’s January, known among those in the pro-life community as “Sanctity of Human Life Month.” This month in 1973, the Supreme Court issued its Roe v. Wade ruling— legalizing abortion in the United States. While this decision was tragic, it was a clear wake-up call to Christians, and wake up we did. Since Roe v. Wade, more than 2700 pregnancy help centers such as ours have formed across the country.”
–Tracie Shellhouse, New Hope CEO
We believe every human being has intrinsic value, even though it sometimes seems our world forgets this truth. Join us this month as we take the time to remember the more than 59 million lives lost to abortion since the Roe v. Wade decision and to celebrate the gift of life.
We have Sanctity of Human Life bulletin inserts available for any churches interested in spreading the word. We suggest the inserts are distributed on Sanctity of Human Life Sunday (Jan. 15), and ask that you distribute them on an earlier Sunday if Jan 15 isn’t a possibility. We also have speakers and a 3-minute video available for those interested.
Please contact development director Delaney Walker at (423) 479-6683 ext. 7 with any requests or questions.
Celebration of Life
Join us Saturday, Jan. 21, at 5 p.m. for the Celebration of Life at Living Word Church, 930 25th St. NW. This short event will provide an update on the fight for life and end with a candle lighting. This is intended to be a public service event, not a fundraiser. Please spread the word, and we hope to see you there!
Please contact Operations and Development Director Delaney Walker at (423) 479-6683 ext. 7 with any questions.
We will launch a new H.O.P.E. Group in February for any woman experiencing the pain of a past abortion. Those interested in joining the group are encouraged to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you know someone who would benefit from this group, please pass the information on to them.
