At New Hope, we
have a variety of ways you can volunteer time. Click a link below to find a volunteer opportunity that
suits your schedule.
These activities require no special training and can be
completed in whatever time frame fits your schedule. If you
desire limited involvement, all of these are essential ways
in which you can contribute:
"Martha
Ministries" - You may want to provide assistance in
sorting, organizing and storing items in the Hope Chest, our
baby and maternity closet. We receive lots of clothing
donations and our closets need continual maintenance. You
may volunteer to come in periodically or even one time to
dust, vacuum, empty trash, clean restrooms, do minor
repairs, or any of the housekeeping tasks that always need
to be done.
Laundry
- Periodically, you may be able to do a few loads of
laundry. Being able to offer pregnant women clean maternity
or infant clothes is a tremendous blessing. We like to be
certain all of our donations are clean and in good repair
when distributed.
Mailings and Literature Preparation - You may enjoy
assisting with the folding, stamping, sorting, and labeling
our quarterly newsletter. We normally affix a sticker or
stamp our address and phone number on our client literature.
These tasks can be done either in your home or at the
center.
Fund-raising Assistance - You may want to assist with
Walks for Life, Banquets, or other fund-raising activities.
These would be seasonal and could involve as much time as
you would want to contribute.
Public
Relations Assistance - You may be capable of
coordinating client advertising with local schools, radio
stations, newspapers, or other media. You may also want to
arrange for public relations for a specific event such as
the Walk for Life.
Prayer
Force - This is a very special group of individuals who
have committed themselves to pray for the ministry at New
Hope. You would be notified by the director of special
prayer concerns and specific prayer times.
Board
Member - Board members are responsible for the
direction, planning, implementation, spiritual health, and
various other aspects of the ministry. You would be expected
to attend bimonthly meetings and periodic called meetings,
as well as participate in occasional special events of the
organization. We are presently in need of 2 new board
members. Call us for an application.
Committee
Member - Serving
on various committees such as Public Relations, Personnel,
Fund-raising in cooperation with the Board of Directors
